What Capsure is

Capsure is the system a firm uses to run deals, investors, portfolio companies, and the work around them.

Capsure is the working system for an investment firm. Deals, companies, people, investors, funds, and portfolio companies live here, with the tasks, mail, documents, and approvals that sit around them.

This site describes standard Capsure. It does not describe one firm’s roles, custom fields, or process templates. Those stay inside the firm. When a how-to says Before you start, that is the permission the screen needs, and a reminder that the firm’s own fields can add steps.

The examples use a fictional firm, Harbor Lane Capital, its fund Harbor Lane Fund I, the company Northwind Health, and the person Alex Chen.

Start with sign in, then the sidebar. Each module in that sidebar has its own section on this site. Dealflow is the most detailed so far: find a company, add a company, open a deal, and move a deal stage.
