Concept

Tasks and approvals

A task is work assigned to a person. An approval is a decision the process is waiting on.

Work that a person must do lives in Workspace, not inside each module as a separate to-do list. A task can be opened from a deal, a holding, or a process, and it still shows on Tasks.

An approval is a gate. The process does not continue until someone accepts or rejects it. Open approvals are on Approvals. Rejecting an approval does not delete the record it sits on. It sends the work back.

Processes are where the firm decides which steps create those tasks and approvals. Workspace is where a person acts on them.
